How do flowers benefit my bath? You may ask?
Lavender
Lavender helps heal acne, eczema and minor burns due to it’s anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. Lavender also promotes headache relief along with relieving muscle strains, stress and tension. Due to lavender bringing calmness and peace, it is widely used to help negative energy and protection against the evil-eye. Lavender promotes clarity and increasing one’s wisdom.
Chamomile
Chamomile promotes a calming and relaxing environment. Due to being a superior skin healing herb, chamomile helps rejuvenate and soothe itchy skin. Chamomile is excellent for meditation, as it has deep and powerful calming effects and is associated with our nervous system. It helps circulate chi, helping your digestion and removal of toxic accumulations. It connects our emotional and etheric bodies of the aura to the physical.
Lemon Verbena
While not a flower, lemon verbena leaves are excellent in calming the entire body. It’s a fantastic herb due to its anti-inflammatory properties and can help inflammation caused by eczema.
Calendula
Calendula is a miracle worker for your skin. Gorgeous golden hues, this flower has the ability to reduce redness, itching and topical inflammation. It also helps repair small scratches and minor skin irritations, all while moisturizing your skin! This golden flower has strong antibacterial properties. Calendula flowers are associated with our solar plexus chakra and help support protection and psychic awareness/intuition. Many use calendula for their Summer Solstice rituals – so why not try it out?!
Rose
Rose is a wonderful little flower. Due to it’s medicinal properties, rose petals and buds make for a luxurious and healing bath. Roses are known to be soothing and calming – easing your nerves, opening your heart chakra and relaxing the mind. They also help relieve slight inflammation associated with rashes, ache, insect bites and minor cuts. Known as a sacred healer, rose flowers help you ground, release and vitalize kundalini/chi.
Hibiscus
Hibiscus flowers help even skin tone, are rich in antioxidants and help increase your skins elasticity! These little antibacterial flowers help promote moisturized skin and reduce age spots. Trying to start your meditation practice? Hibiscus is a known beneficial tool to help release blocked chakras, negative emotions and promotes negative mental release.
Cornflower
Cornflowers are an amazing, tiny little flower. They do wonders for your skin and mind. They help with inflammation and are excellent for acne-prone skin. Known to help open your third eye, cornflowers have been used in bath rituals – “enabling one to see aspects of the universal creative forces.” – listed in the French Pharmacopoeia since 1884.
